The Urban Education curriculum is designed to be completely customized to meet the needs and interests of your group. We have developed these core workshops to offer your group unbiased, comprehensive exploration of topics surrounding homelessness and poverty, including: causes of homelessness, faces of homelessness, systems and systemic oppression, privilege, and empathy.
Through conversation with the Urban Education Coordinator, you can choose which of the following workshops you would like to participate in (please click on each workshop title for more information about each offering):
An integral part of Urban Education is time spent with those in our community who currently experiencing homelessness, or were formerly homeless. You will get to hear first-hand the day-to-day realities of homelessness, and engage in meaningful conversation.
*Due to time constraints, single workshops will not include a formal presentation from a community member.
